Home charging solutions

Our data tells us that the majority of electricity consumed by our customers is at home or at the workplace.

For cars that need to be charged at home, we expect the vehicle to be station for many hours, in this use case a lower power charger is sufficient. In this case we build a home network where the household’s energy consumers are given priority, and the charging equipment will receive the remaining available power. This means a reliable power supply for both the house and the car.

For public spaces, offices and parking lots

The demand for charging equipment in public spaces, offices and parking lots is rapidly increasing.

Not only a change in regulations, but also the changing customer base is forcing the widescale deployment of charging equipment.

Typically, a large number of devices have to be installed in several locations on the site, which fundamentally affects the load on the structure. In this case the only solution is the introduction of an energy management system. The energy management system efficiently allocates the energy to manage the load. This can be tailored to customers preference.

Charging knots and fleet options

As the range of electric cars has grown, major fleet operators have began to realise that the switch from internal combustion cars to electric cars will pay off in the foreseeable future.

The initial cost of such an investment is high due to the cost of charging equipment and the car itself cars, but the payback is quick. If the self-supply of energy is also possible on the site, the payback is even faster. The purchase price of electric cars is constantly decreasing and production volumes are increasing significantly, so prices are falling year on year.

High efficiency rapid charging devices

High efficiency rapid charging devices (25 kW to 360 kW) are recommended for high traffic areas.

High power chargers or ultra high power chargers are typically used in places where vehicles spend a shorter amount of time or where high capacity batteries need to be charged quickly. For example in a motorway car park or for charging electric buses.

V2G and V2H systems

V2G and V2H systems, i.e. feeding electricity back into the grid or powering homes from the car battery.

The potential for V2G (Vehicle to Grid) and V2H (Vehicle to House) systems is a given for consumers. New electric cars are being developed to be able to do this. However, legal regulations are not yet in place. Once the regulatory side is in place, technical implementation is imminent. It will allow the car to be part of the grid as an electric storage device. Typically, cheap energy can be used to charge the car at night and then return the energy to the grid at a higher price, during peak hours.

Energy storage devices

From household size to the size used by electricity suppliers.

The use of energy storage is of basic interest. They can eliminate surges and overloads in the network, making operation more reliable and cheaper. In the future, storage will become increasingly economical, creating the potential for more secure operation.
